Wooden letters?

Is anyone else buying wooden letters to spell out LO's name on the nursery wall? We are looking for simple, unfinished ones that don't cost an arm & a leg that we can paint ourselves to match his room.

Anyone found good deals somewhere? Online or otherwise?

Re: Wooden letters?

  • Check out the hobby stores. Michael's, AC Moore, Jo-Ann's, or Hobby Lobby. Whatever you have around. They should be like .99 a piece.

  • I think I spent 2 bucks a letter at Jo anns, and had a 25% off coupon. Here is a pip of what they look like after we decorated them with flowers and buttons and scrapbook paper.

  • I got mine at Hobby Lobby in the woodworking section for .99 each.  They are smaller and will be glued to a painted board.  Since his name is long, I didn't want to hang each individual letter.  A friend of my sister is making them so when I get it, I'll post a pic.
  • I got them at Michaels. DD's were thinnner and were less than .99, DS's were thicker and a little bigger, and only $2.99.

  • We got our letters from Jo-Ann Fabric for $2-3 a piece. They were pre-finished white, but we spray painted them.

  • I got some inexpensive white ones from Michael's a few weeks ago. Just the first initials of DS and DS#2 for their bedroom doors. Cost I think just a couple bucks for both. I also tend to have michael's coupons though, they give away so many coupons in their ads.
