Can't wait to have a MAY baby

Well other than the fact that I am thrilled to be pregnant. I am excited to be having a MAY baby for a few reasons.

1. I won't have to worry about newborn RSV and all of the other things that come when having a winter baby

2. I can just slap on a onsie and go. No bundling up for freezing weather

3. Birthday parties!! The baby gets to have an outside birthday party in the warm spring weather (My birthday is in November and I was never able to have an outside birthday party)

4. My dad who passed away a few years ago was born May 13th. So for this baby to be due 2 days after his birthday has a special significance to our family.

5. I will be HUGELY pregnant when it is not 200+ degrees outside. This is really important because I am in Houston and it literally gets 110 in the summer.

Why are you excited to be having a MAY or SPRING BABY?

I concur! My dob is May 6 and it's always been super nice weather. Plus, I could have a birthday baby!!

-Also- I was raised in Louisville, where they hold the KY Derby on the 1st Saturday in May. There is lots of excitement going on around that time of year and it's an awesome time to tie in a bday!

I am due memorial day weekend, I would love for baby to have a holiday birthday.

I am also excited for all the cookout and pool birthday parties we will get to have.

My DD was born Nov 18 and caught RSV at 7 weeks! (wasnt even in Daycare yet!) So I definitely agree with that point!

It will also be amazing to have off all summer and to have DD and LO spend all that time together bonding!

And it will be nice out to take lots and lots of walks to lose the baby weight!

I never thought of all those pros.. thanks and I'll be delivering in Houston too since I'll be staying in Spring Tx since my husband will be deployed.

I agree with all of that.  DS was born in August so I was hot, hot, hot towards the end.  Plus, he was in daycare by November, and he caught RSV shortly after.  What a mess!  And you're right - I love the fact that we get the summer off, especially because my mom is a teacher and will have the summer off too! 

Plus, My birthday is in May also, and it was neat getting presents every 6 months (for my birthday and for Christmas).   I'm glad this LO will get that also.

My oldest was also born in May and what I like best about it is he can get spring and summer stuff for his Birthday and use it right away and his Bday isn't right on top off all the fall and winter holidays. My Bday is Oct 25 my husband and my younger sons are both Oct 26th so it will be nice not to have anymore in that time frame too.

AW! This post made me so much more excited!! My daughter was born in November, so that was rough for the winter.. and my son was born in August, it was rainy and hot for about a month then came the cold.. I am so excited to be having May Babies! "Slap on a onsie and go" sounds good enough for me!

I think I'm most excited about this To be honest, we were in the beggars can't be choosers camp when it came to a due date, but I'm pretty darn happy with what we ended up with.
