Is it normal not to ovulate one month?

Ok this is my 3rd month TTC after getting off birth control for 10 years. I started birth control because my periods were heavy and irregular so I knew when it was time to try and get pregnant I was going to chart my BBT and use OPK's. I started charting my temp last month but forgot in the middle of my cylce and picked back up on CD24. This month I charted every day but my cycle was very short and I didn't ovulate. But the cycle before this you can see that my temps started low and were higher at the end and fertility friend says I ovulated between CD17 and CD29. I just don't understand why I didn't ovulate at all this month and why it's so short? Can some one please help me out?

    It is normal to have one anovulatory cycle thrown in there.  However, if it happens again I would recommend contacting your doctor.

    It can take up to a year for cycles to regulate post bcp.  One fluke cycle shouldn't be a concern.  If it becomes a pattern, contact your doctor.  Good luck!
