As some of you might remember, about two months ago we started seeing some tiny dots/streaks of blood in I's stool. The pedi recommended that I go on dairy free diet (I BF), because dairy intolerance is the usual cause for this symptom. And so I did. I went on dairy, soy and eggs free diet. Then eventually after 3 weeks we stopped seeing blood. And it was all good, until a week ago, when the blood showed up again! We went to the Pedi again. She tested his poo and there wasn't microscopic blood anymore, at least. Ian had normal weight gain, and the Pedi said that he looks like a healthy baby to her. She is almost certain that it is some kind of food (that I eat) reaction, but to exclude any possible more serious problem, she made an appointment with a GI for us. The appointment is on the 16th this month and I am going freaking crazy. I hope my baby is alright and nothing serious is going on. I also hope that the GI won't do anything invasive to him. This is so hard! My heart breaks. I try to divert my mind not to think about it much, but as you may guess it doesn't work!
Thanks for reading!
