WWYD - car seat travel question?

I honestly can't remember if we ever had this issue when G was still in an infant seat.  When we fly home in a couple weeks, we're obviously taking both car seats.  But, would you take the infant seat base, too, or just strap it in the car using the seatbelt?

Hmm - two kids, bags, presents...I'd probably just do a seatbelt. But if you are checking the carseat at the gate I guess it wouldn't be that more more difficult to keep the base attached to it.

This is exactly what went through my mind.  I'm thinking we may take the snap n go so we have it if we need a stroller while in Ohio.  So we'll have probably two checked bags, a carry-on for three of us (more room for presents that way...), the two kids, two car seats, and a snap n go.  Geesh....I hope we make it through the airport!

I didn't even know you could use the infant seat with the seat belt and not have the base!

You can check the stroller and carseat (with base) when you check your luggage. Or at least check the carseat if you're not going to use it on the plane, anyway.

It is really easy to use it with just the seatbelt, I do it every week with a little boy I watch. I wouldn't lug the base around.
