Were you pretty much given the "green light" to resume all of your normal activities such as exercise, lifting older children (if this applies), etc?
I keep telling myself "only a few more weeks" whenever I feel mom guilt for not being able to lift or carry my 2 y/o DDs, but realistically, is 6 the golden #? Or did it take longer (i.e. did you have to very gradually ease back into things)?
TIA
Re: At the 6 wks pp mark...
I started lifting my DS1 (who was 15 1/2 months but a very big boy for his age) at 1-1 1/2 wk pp. I had no choice since I was alone with both of them. I just bent down to lift him up if I had to carry him. I started driving at 2wk pp and walking the neighborhood at 2 1/2wks pp. I just listened to my body and if something didn't feel right I stopped doing it. I didn't full out do a workout until 6wks through. Just do small things at a time and just don't push yourself to hard. If soemthing hurts or doesn't feel right stop
