Found out the theme of my baby shower

This morning I found out the theme for my daughter's baby shower - Matryoshka dolls (the little Russian nesting dolls).  Now instead we'll be using a Matryoshka doll as an urn for her little ashes.  We'll use a set of dolls that has a Daddy, a Mommy, and we'll use the tiniest one to symbolize Sylvie. 

I had forgotten about the idea of a baby shower and when I read about it this morning (my sister thought my mom had already told me) it hit me like a ton of bricks.

    I am sorry dear. That hurts!  ... but, just an idea. If you wanted a tattoo in honor of her, the Matryoshka doll would be quite appropriate!

    that has to hurt emotionally. I only knew about the invites for my shower, my mom was sending them so I got to pick them out, and I haven't been able to look at it since.

    Thanks everyone.  I never really thought about getting a tattoo prior to Sylvie's death.  Last night my husband and I both brought it up out of the blue.  I'm not sure that I would get one but I did find some matryoshka tats that were cute.

    That's incredibly hard.  I'm so sorry.  I think it's a beautiful idea to use the doll set for the urn.

    Avery Alexander Napaluch born sleeping October 24, 2011 at 32 weeks.
    He was 4lbs. 9oz. and 17&1/2in. He was absolute perfection.
