Is your LO's sleep restless?

I've been meaning to ask this for a while but keep forgetting.

LO is so restless in his sleep. At least once every five minutes or so you hear something.. a grunt, groan, cough, etc. It's like this all night. Usually at least once an hour I am sure he is going to wake up. But he doesn't.

Anyone else?

Re: Is your LO's sleep restless?

  • Yes, DD is the same. The only time she does sleep really restful is when she does turn herself on her stomach, or that was a while ago when we were swaddling her.

  • Yes! I logged in wanting to post this question, you beat me to it! lol. The only difference is that DS is waking up a lot. Last night he woke up almost every hour, at one point he woke up after only 40 minutes! He had not done this since he was a NB. I've noticed that when I put him on his belly for naps he's napped up to 1.5 hours at a time, he's never napped over 40 minutes! So I'm wondering if he prefers to sleep on his belly but I'm afraid to put him on his belly for night time because he won't roll belly to back in his pnp only on his activity mat. Naps I don't mind because i keep checking on him. I wonder what's going on.
  • very restless!  last night was really bad.  i think i got maybe 5 hours of broken sleep because she was making so much noise.  she's been like this though since she was born.  it doesn't affect dh at all, he sleeps like a log.  me on the other hand, i'm super sensitive to the noises...even with her down the hall.

  • I think we all are on the same page. I feel like I am getting up too much to check on her. I am struggling with how to make her sleep more soundly. Any suggestions from those whose little ones sleep well?
