Poll of sorts

I want to do a holiday event for toy donation to a cause that I volunteer for.  The point of the get together is to donate a toy so I'm not really worried about offending anyone with soliciting for gifts:  It's for a good cause and if they don't want to donate they can still come, no hard feelings.  But the point is to have a toy donation event.

  1. There will be an "event":  kids or adults only?
  2. Would you prefer to be invited to an ornament exchange, or a cookie decorating party as part of the event?
  3. Would the age of your child impact your answer to #1?  I was thinking fewer people would come to a cookie decorating party with very small children and I want to invite people with both infants, and preschoolers and possible some who don' t even have outside babies yet.
  4. If ornament exchange, should the ornament be for kids or adults?  Would you rather get an ornament for your child or for you? I'm thinking just adults means I could invite more people and make it a Mom's Night Out event.  But does that make me un child friendly?

Thank you so much for your input!  I don't want to look like a fool first time out.

    1. There will be an "event":  kids or adults only?  I would make it everyone welcome. I feel like the holidays are family time :)
    2. Would you prefer to be invited to an ornament exchange, or a cookie decorating party as part of the event? Ornament exchange. Or what about a Ornament decorating party?
    3. Would the age of your child impact your answer to #1?  I was thinking fewer people would come to a cookie decorating party with very small children and I want to invite people with both infants, and preschoolers and possible some who don' t even have outside babies yet. Nope
    4. If ornament exchange, should the ornament be for kids or adults?  Would you rather get an ornament for your child or for you? I'm thinking just adults means I could invite more people and make it a Mom's Night Out event.  But does that make me un child friendly? Mom's night out sounds fun! Ornament could be or a child or adult. I don't care if it is for me or my child. It will go the same place. on our tree.

  • There will be an "event":  kids or adults only?  Everyone, with so many parties, it is a pain to find sitters for all of them.Would you prefer to be invited to an ornament exchange, or a cookie decorating party as part of the event? Cookie decorating.  I've gotten way too may cheapy ornaments that just went to Goodwill. Would the age of your child impact your answer to #1?  I was thinking fewer people would come to a cookie decorating party with very small children and I want to invite people with both infants, and preschoolers and possible some who don' t even have outside babies yet. Nope, I would do cookie decorating either way, but I know Lucy would have tons of fun too.If ornament exchange, should the ornament be for kids or adults?  Would you rather get an ornament for your child or for you? I'm thinking just adults means I could invite more people and make it a Mom's Night Out event.  But does that make me un child friendly? If doing the ornament exchange, I'd rather get something for the kiddo since I think she'd enjoy it more than me.

    1. There will be an "event":  kids or adults only?  I agree with B, everyone should be welcome. The holidays are for family!
    2. Would you prefer to be invited to an ornament exchange, or a cookie decorating party as part of the event? I think an ornament exchange would be more fun!
    3. Would the age of your child impact your answer to #1?  I was thinking fewer people would come to a cookie decorating party with very small children and I want to invite people with both infants, and preschoolers and possible some who don' t even have outside babies yet. Not at all.
    4. If ornament exchange, should the ornament be for kids or adults?  Would you rather get an ornament for your child or for you? I'm thinking just adults means I could invite more people and make it a Mom's Night Out event.  But does that make me un child friendly? I don't think a mom's night out event would make you not child friendly. Moms need nights out! I think an ornament exchange might be better as a mom-only event. A cookie decorating party would be better with kiddos.

    1. There will be an "event":  kids or adults only?  I am all for adult only gtg's but kids are fun too.
    2. Would you prefer to be invited to an ornament exchange, or a cookie decorating party as part of the event? either would be fun, but who doesnt love a good cookie.
    3. Would the age of your child impact your answer to #1?  I was thinking fewer people would come to a cookie decorating party with very small children and I want to invite people with both infants, and preschoolers and possible some who don' t even have outside babies yet.  Not so much age for me, but taking 2 is harder. Also M seems to be on the older of the side, so if everyone has younger it is hard. I can always just bring 1.
    4. If ornament exchange, should the ornament be for kids or adults?  Would you rather get an ornament for your child or for you? I'm thinking just adults means I could invite more people and make it a Mom's Night Out event.  But does that make me un child friendly? I think adults, since kids are harder to buy specific for.

    4. If ornament exchange, should the ornament be for kids or adults?  Would you rather get an ornament for your child or for you? I'm thinking just adults means I could invite more people and make it a Mom's Night Out event.  But does that make me un child friendly? MNO is great too, they are just very different events....
