Re: >^^< Pregnant after 35 Weekly Check-in >^^<
We had our NT scan last week and it went really well. Nothing to worry about at this point. I think I'm having another hormone surge right now because my face has totally broken out again after being calm for over a week. Other than that, just biding time until my next check-up in 2 weeks. We decided to wait until Thanksgiving to tell our families.
Question of the Week (QOTW): What is your favorite Halloween candy?
Swedish Fish or Laffy Taffy. Or Snickers. Or M&Ms. Or, well, pretty much anything.
Updates: How are you feeling? Any events/news to share? New pregnancy symptoms or any that have disappeared?
feeling good. We spent Saturday at a local Halloween event and carved our pumpkin on Sunday. It was a nice family weekendQuestion of the Week (QOTW): What is your favorite Halloween candy?
I don't think I have a favorite. I like chocalate-y stuff, but just a taste. Gotta watch my GD numbers
Question of the Week (QOTW): What is your favorite Halloween candy?Snickers or Twizzlers.

Feeling ok. Allergies are still killing me and nothing seems to help, including neti pot. Starting to get out of breath at almost any exertion and in the past week or so have a sore spot about the size of a half dollar above and to the right of my belly button that feels like muscle pull or maybe separation. I'll ask the OB Thursday. Trying not to complain too much since I still have 11 weeks to go!
Halloween candy: Kit Kat, Reese's, Take 5...ok anything chocolate and candy corn mixed with dry roasted peanuts. It's a bad time of year for us sweet tooths!
Just feeling consistently nauseous
No candy and anything thrills me right now.
We're excited (& a little nervous) about our a/s tomorrow.
I usually crave dark chocolate, but it's giving me heartburn these days. I'll munch on some Laughy Taffy though...
Updates - nothing new this week. Just hanging out.
QOTW: Milky Ways, but only if they are frozen 1st! I do also 2nd the person that mentioned candy corn mixed with salted peanuts. Yummy!

Updates: How are you feeling? Any events/news to share? New pregnancy symptoms or any that have disappeared?
Just hit 2nd tri, so I am hoping for some m/s relief. Whenever I say I feel better, it gets worse. So I don't want to jinx myself! I am taking less or no zofran for the most part, but it has gotten better. I am more tired than ever, especially towards the end of the work day.
Have the 2nd blood work appt on Nov 10 for the integrated testing. Then on Nov 22 have an appointment with the High risk specialist (due to AMA) at the local hospital. Hope to find out the sex!Question of the Week (QOTW): What is your favorite Halloween candy? Reeses peanut butter cup eggs!
Symptoms have really calmed down. Have had almost no nausea. Had a little the last 2 days, but that has been the first for a bit. Just waiting to hear from new OB to get started there.
Favorite Halloween candy: Milky Way, Twix or Kit Kats!! And can't have any of it!!! Stinking diabetes. Takes all my fun!!! LOL!! Did sneak a small Kit Kat tonight at work; thankfully my sugar was ok.
Updates: How are you feeling? Any events/news to share? New pregnancy symptoms or any that have disappeared?
Feeling pretty good, but first trimester sleepiness has returned. I can't seem to keep my eyes open.
Question of the Week (QOTW): What is your favorite Halloween candy?
Well my screename gives away one my favorites the other is Reeses. Tonight I ate way too much of the left over candies.
I am feeling good! Some back pain and insomnia, but nothing too bad. Full term finally and so happy
My favorite candy would have to be Reeses cups and/or candy corn. I was a good girl this year, though, and didn't have any Halloween candy!
DS born via unplanned C-section at 40w6d
Updates: Well, last Thursday I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes, which just sucks. If I can't keep my blood sugar in control I'm going to get risked out of the birth center that I'm planning to deliver at. I really, really don't want to wind up with a C-section.
The good news is that the dresser/changing table is assembled and all the clothes and diapers are washed and ready to go.
QOTW (GD edition): I shouldn't have any candy, so all the Halloween candy looks so good to me right now. Reese's PB cups are my all time favorite. But I'll take anything with artificial fruit flavoring.
Updates: How are you feeling? Any events/news to share? New pregnancy symptoms or any that have disappeared?
Just starting to get uncomfortable when I am in one position too long. For the last week or so, he has been low on my bladder and I have had the capacity of a walnut. So annoying. Heartburn is everpresent. And my weight gain is defying the whole 3500 calories equals 1 pound thing, for me it seems to be 350 calories equals 1 pound.
But it is all good and I really do love being pregnant.
Question of the Week (QOTW): What is your favorite Halloween candy?
Reeses in any shape or form. My daughter has a peanut allergy so I had to save her by commandeering all of the Reeses products she got trick or treating. Parenting is all about sacrifice, people.
Please add me to the list.

BAD m/s, with vomiting
Question of the Week (QOTW): What is your favorite Halloween candy?
Reeses pieces
Haven't posted here in a while, so I thought I'd check in.
How are you feeling?
Having quite a time dealing with these RLPs and getting over a cold, but fine otherwise.
Any events/news to share?
After a horrible a/s experience last Wednesday, my doctor is letting me have a do over on Monday. So hopefully, we'll actually get to see the baby this time and find out if we're having a little boy or girl.
What is your favorite Halloween candy?
The mini Twix and Kit Kat bars have always been a favorite.
ack ... 33 weeks! still having a significant amount of groin discomfort (even with my fab maternity support belt) that makes walking a real challenge. otherwise, feeling pretty good considering. i'm surprised at the amount of movement i still feel, from what i've read, he should have slowed down a bit based on the cramped confines ... but i guess he didn't read the same books : )
anyway, i'm a big fan of candy ... halloween or not. i like almond joy, peanut butter cups, snickers, twix, bascially anything with chocolate.
Finally starting second trimester I hope all you mommies are feeling wonderful
Updates: How are you feeling? Any events/news to share? New pregnancy symptoms or any that have disappeared?
Had NT scan last week everything went well. Will have all results back Next week Nov9 when I see doc again. I am bigger than a house already have no clothes that fit. But other then that I feel really great. Boobs aren't sore just full and heavy or so it seems. We told MIL this weekend oh it was a classic funniest video moments. I am sure SO feels better as he was a little afraid of telling her. Haven't let the cat out the bag yet to my whole family yet just my children and my closest brother. I just want the time to go buy faster nowQuestion of the Week (QOTW): What is your favorite Halloween candy?
I could say that I have no attraction to candy at all but I wouldnn't complain if someone passed me a jersey milk
Things seem to be settling down. m/s isn't nearly as bad now, although still have the gagging every once in awhile. Very tired. Tender boobs, but not too bad for now. I think going off the progesterone is helping to lower the symptoms.
Question of the Week (QOTW): What is your favorite Halloween candy?
Reese's anything...pieces, peanut butter cups, you name it. Love me the chocolate/peanut butter combo! Of course, regular milk chocolate is awesome in its own right. Hershey's being my favorite!
My mom used to confiscate all of our Halloween PB cups. She claimed it was because they were such an easy place to hide razor blades. I'm starting to think that wasn't her primary motivation . . .
Hi there!!

Hello!
Nothing too new or exciting really going on with me, just enjoying that the time is passing and I am still pregnant. I have my next appointment on 11/21, but it's just 2nd tri bw and routine check up with no ultrasound since my OB wants to do my A/S the second week in December. We have not told my parents we are expecting and plan to do it on Thanksgiving, (that will be the first time we have seen them in person since finding out. They live about 3 hours away). It will be nice to be able to finally be "out" since I used to have a totally flat stomach and now I definately have a bump. It is getting tough/uncomfortable to hide it and people are not used to seeing me wearing flowy loose clothes at work.
On the symptom front, I have been one of those lucky ones with no morning sickness at all and barely any symptoms, but now the acne is getting rediculous. It's weirdly under my nose, in the corners of my mouth and on my chin and it is really uncomfortable. I am going to break down and buy that stuff from Belli. I have never had zits like this in my entire life. For me the old wives tales point in both directions right now so it will be interesting to see if this little one is of the pink or blue variety.
Halloween Candy: Reeces Peanut Butter Cups, no contest, infact the "eggs" are also my favorite Easter candy and whatever they make at Christmas is also my favorite!

Updates: How are you feeling? Any events/news to share? New pregnancy symptoms or any that have disappeared?
Well...to give you all a little of my history, this is my fourth pregnancy. My previous three have all ended in first trimester miscarriages between 5 and 8 weeks. Provided everything is still good, I will be 14 weeks tomorrow which is obviously the farthest I've ever been.
I am 38 years old and very high risk. My OB has been taking very good care of me and has been seeing me every two weeks to make sure everything is going as it should. In December, I will begin seeing a fetal and maternal specialist to monitor my second trimester. My next appointment is November 8th and it's been two weeks since I last saw my OB. So as for now I am feeling very nervous which is how I always feel before my appointment because I am always afraid that there will be no heartbeat as in my past pregnancies.
At my 12 week appointment my OB told me that I am close to having gestational diabetes ad she wants to treat me as though I have it to hopefully avoid medication. Because I am already high risk, I am now seeing a nutritionist and have had to completely change my eating habits which has been very hard. To make things more challenging, I cannot have any artificial sweeteners so my choices are very limited. I have to check my blood sugar four times daily and have to record my levels as well as everything I eat. Hopefully, all of this monitoring will prevent me from having to go on medication which is the ultimate goal.
At week 13, I began seeing a cardiologist because I am having stronger than normal and more frequent than normal palpitations and shortness of breath. They've been running a variety of tests and I will get the results next week. Hopefully everything will be good.
As for my symptoms, they have pretty much subsided at this point which I have been told are completely normal because I'm getting close to my second trimester. I am happy that they are going away because I had a rough first trimester however, I wish they were still there as reassurance.
Okay...well enough of my history. Just thought I would share so you all understood my paranoia and fear. I am very excited but am also very afraid to be excited. Does this make sense?
Question of the Week (QOTW): What is your favorite Halloween candy? As for my favorite candy, unfortunately I cannot have any but if I could, I would definitely be eating candy corn, laffy taffy, reeses PB cups (both milk chocolate and white chocolate), and flavore tootsie rolls. NEED YOUR HELP: In reading through everyone's posts, I see that you all have cute little tickers attached to your posts. How do I get this on my post? Thanks everyone! I wish you all the best and look forward to reading about all of your updates. Shawn Marie
