Animals and Labor?

So my dog has not been as sensative about my pregnancy as others. but today all the sudden is won't leave my side ... I'm wondering if he can since my maybe going into labor soon. Have any of you ladies noticed that you dog or animal being sensative right before labor started? I'm only 37 weeks, so I might have a while more to go ;-)

my dog TOTALLY started doing that when i went into labor with lula.  for me - it was about 3-4 days before.  annnnnd... she was born at 37 weeks so i thought he was off his rocker.   good luck!

I was 37 weeks and my cat wanted to cuddle my tummy. he would hug on it and give it kisses. The next day my daughter was born, My dog would sit by my feet and whimper when i would have a contraction it was weird.

I was pulled out of work last week and my little dog has stayed with me all day. She wont leave my side....not even for DH which is VERY unlike her! I'm still growing baby though!

Well I'm hoping this isn't a sign that my Lo is comming because it's way to early but my dog this past week has been really weird needing to be by me all the time and even sleeping on the floor next to my side of the bed. For my dog to sleep on the floor is weird he is spoiled. He deffinatly know something is up.

Both times I've ended up in the hospital this pregnancy my dog has acted nuts.  She's doing it again today and I am hoping I don't have something happen tonight that lands me there again.

I don't remember her doing this with ds, but that was a few years ago and I seem to have forgotten lots of things between now and then.

PLEASE keep us informed as to what happens with everything! I have 2 dogs and am curious to know how they will react when the time comes...

Thanks everyone for the replies! It's just so facinating how they can sense such specific things! I will definitely let you guys know whats going on. I have had some contractions, but they are about 10-15 minutes apart. We'll see :-)

my first pregnancy I was on bed rest most of it, my mom and her dog lived with us to help out... The dog was attentive but not overly so until the day before my labor started. She LIVED in my lap that whole day and I went into labor around 3am that morning.

 

I know animals respond, I work in the pet industry and have to many "stories" to say they don't realize something is happening. I am a believer in that!
