? from a Nov mom

Hi Ladies,

 I have been having contractions all day long.  I started timing them around 11 am and they have been 45 sec to 1 min 30 seconds long and have gone from 12-9 min apart earlier to 5 min apart for a while now.  I was not even sure they were contractions because it feels like gas pains but then they were so timeable and my back has been aching during them.  They were not getting stronger till about an hour ago.  Does this sound like a false alarm or the real deal?  I will be calling my doc soon if they stay 5 min apart for an hour.  Thanks for your replies!!

Could be either and no real way to tell, unfortunately.

Sounds real to me.  Better call your doc!

Sounds like it could be labor. I would probably wait till they start hurting a lot--so much you don't want to talk--before getting too excited. Good luck!

Sounds like my labor the not able to talk is a minomer I was waiting for them to get that intense and almost missed making it to the hospital we had our little one 25 minutes after arriving at the hospital.
