Chest Cold week 3?

My LO has had a chest cold for 3 weeks now.  Two weeks ago she saw the pedi for 6 month check-up and they said that it has to take it's course. We are doing:

Little Colds on her chest at night

Saline drops in nose

Cool Mist Humidifior at night

Am I missing anything?  Should I be taking her back to the doctors...her nose is a little on the green side.

I was just told that it could take 6-8 weeks for cold symptoms to completely go away this time of year.

I would take her back if.  Green mucos can be a sinus infection.  Also if she is still coughing they might put her on a nebulizer to help keep her airway open.  Good Luck!  Hope your LO is feeling better soon.

If she has that juicy sounding cough, I'd ask how they felt about some breathing treatments with nebulizer. It really helps.

You could try to elevate one end of her bed. My pedi also said we could use 1/4 tsp mucinex 4x a day. DS is 20 lbs.

mine had cough and chest congestion for a week but no fever.  just got back from pedi with antibiotics cause its not a cold its bronchitis.  i say take her just to be sure.
