Follow up on my First post - TTC

Hello All,

 I posted late last week about weird happenings as I am trying to conceive baby #5. I took all of your advice and called my family doctor. He took a blood test on thursday at noon. The level came back at 210. The nurse got on the line and said, " Congrats! You are pregnant!" When I asked her what the level was, she told me and then proceeded to say, "oh, that is too low, it doesn't add up, this pregnancy might be compromised." OH GEE, thanks for the congrats! :-( So I went to my OB and asked what next. He then asked for me to come in for blood work on Saturday and Monday. I have gone in both times. The nurse just called to let me know she got the results from Saturday and once the doctor reviews the results he will call me. I did get the levels from Saturday's draw out of the nurse. She said progesterone was at 14 and HCG was at 576. Is this enough of an increase to be a viable pregnancy? Of course I am still going to have to wait til tomorrow to hear back from the doctor again for his opinion and the third test, but wondering what you ladies think. My husband and I are just sitting on pins and needles waiting to know... Thanks for any advice!

I can't believe the nurse said that to you, and I'm wondering why, too. Why was there a concern about one beta number - especially at 210? You generally are looking for it to double every 48 hours, so a 576 on Saturday is fine. Good luck with your results today.

I know nothing about these numbers so I'm no help but I wanted to say good luck. FX for good test results today!

Maybe she was concerned about the progesterone levels?  I don't know, 210 is a pretty good number for early in pregnancy.  Good luck, I hope everything gets sorted out for you soon!

the fact that your numbers have increased is a very good sign! I would say continue to think positively. Good luck!! Keep us updated!
