Hi Ladies -
Anyone know of any forward thinking pediatricians in the Syracuse area in regards to breastfeeding (ie, have a lactation consultant on staff, understand gworth charts of breastfed babies?)
Not that O's pediatrician is bad... but in a few weeks we go in for another weight check, and not that they are worried, but his growth curve isnt great, but I think its just because hes a small baby who also happens to be breastfed, and from what Ive gathered breastfed babies tend to slow down growth between 4-6 months...
But im worried that if his weight gain isnt great again at this next appt then they will start mentioning supplementing (which they havent yet). If thats the case, then I may want to look into switching practices...
Re: Syracuse Pediatrician Question
Oh, and I wanted to add, my kids dropped on the growth cart around 4-9 months. They both went from around 95% to around 50% weight wise. Both totally healthy, exclusivly breastfed babies. Even now, they have stayed below the 50% for weight. Just the size they are meant to be.
