this is probably the one thing i forgot to ask at the pedi during the six month appointment. my son has always been a baby who spits up a lot. being a first time mom i took him to pedi at about one month because of this and he said he didnt have any issues that would make him think it was an allergy and as long as he is gaining weight and having good dirty diapers we were ok, and that he was jus more prone to spitting up. so, things got better over time, but he still spits up with every feeding and once or twice in between feedings. not a lot usually,he just always does. i have heard and read that this should get better by six months, but it is still really the same at seven months now. anyone else out there still having a lot of spit up with their seven month or older baby and at what point should i worry if it all. i just forgot to mention at the six month appointment and dont really want to wait till nine months, but also dont want to make an uneccessary pedi visit for something silly. thanks, and sorry for the format, bumping from my phone sucks.
Re: Spitting Up
My son literally never spit up when I was BFing. When I made the switch he did every once in awhile, but not every feeding, or even every day. We've never switched formulas or anything, but now that he's rolling, army crawling and jumping in his jumparoo, he spits up just about every meal. Except at night, because he either falls right to sleep or sits and we read a book or something after his last bottle. He doesn't spit up a lot (amount), but enough that he has to wear a bib at all times or change his clothes after every bottle. It's so annoying, but it doesn't seem to phase him and I am guessing it's just from him shaking up the belly full of liquid before he's digested.
Does your LO still spit up even sitting still or at night?
Sitting still yes, but if he falls asleep/at night then no
