Hit the 6-month mark

As of today I've been breastfeeding for 6 months!

I never had a goal in mind, but for some reason 6 months really seems like a milestone. I nursed for about the first month and then became an EPer since I was at my wits ends thanks to a tongue tied LO with a painful latch. I probably would have quit a lot sooner had I not made the switch.

I'm not sure how long I'll continue pumping. I only made it here my taking it one day at a time. I decided that if I wasn't happy I'd stop, but so far I'm fine. I also feel like breast milk is just easier to deal with than formula.

Anyway, gotta thank the ladies on this board for all the help. I don't post often, but reading and learning from others has helped me a ton.

Congrats on making it to 6 months!  That is a big accomplishment!

That's awesome! It's a big commitment and a lot of work. I'm going on 3 months. I love it but it can be very difficult at times. Congrats!

Great job!  I EP'ed for DS until about 11.5 months.  Starting at about 10.5 I slowly started adding some goat or cow milk to each bottle because I was really so tired of pumping at that point, but really didn't want to do formula.  I give you tons of credit for EP'ing!  It's HARD work!
