what is Sophie made of?

I never got the big deal with Sophie craze, but lately P has been obsessed with chewing on his rubber duckie and another rubbery toy he has. And they squeak, which he seems to love. Is that what sophie is like? I may have to jump on the bandwagon and buy the damn giraffe!

Natural rubber and food paint is what the description says. It is amazing how much DS loves it! Well, until DH lost her when he went to his mom's house. He's in big trouble for that. We also have the little blue Vulli martian guy that is the same thing basically and that's a pretty good substitute.

we have a sophie and she loves it, not as much as the sofie for the bathtub though. that one shoots out water. DD can't stop laughing when she sees that.

Quoted from their site. Molly still loves her Sophie (we got her at maybe 4 months), I think it's totally worth it. She's been around for more than 50 years, it's safe natural items used to make her, I'll pay extra for that peace of mind.

DS has two Sophie's. One is for at my mom's house who watches him while I work and DH just bought one to keep at our house so that he will always have it around. DS is really into chewing right now so Sophie is the perfect thing. I really struggled with spending that much on a toy for him to chew on but he really loves it!

Sophie is latex. We wrote to the company to find out as we have to keep all latex products away from DD.
