The little things

Today marks 1 month since we lost our little man. I was missing him so much today. He should been here today so I could show him his first snow fall. It was so beautiful with the snow falling and all the white on the trees. It just made me feel worse. But my wonderful husband took me to dinner...he was trying to take my mind off of everything. He knew I was sad. We had a nice time. But I'm still sad. It just seems like its the small things that catch me off guard...like the first snowfall. I didn't know it would make me so sad.

The first snow got me, too after my son died.  It was just like you, just a few weeks or so after.  I was supposed to take him out and snap a quick picture of him all bundled up out in the snow.  I did the same for my DD at just about the same age he would have been.  It was a very hard day.  So much love and hugs to you!

It snowed here yesterday and while I was glad the world was dark and grey it made me sad that I'd never get to take Sylvie sledding or walk with her in the snow, make a snowperson.

I agree, it's the little things that really catch me off guard too.  I went back to the Y after stopping due to bleeding at 7 weeks and when I went back it took so much for me not to leave the class sobbing.  All I could think was that last time I was there my baby was safely growing inside of me and I was sooo happy.  I would never have guessed that the next time I would go I would have given birth to a baby that I couldn't take home.
