My DD was born a month early and will be three months old on Tuesday. She is still eating very frequently! Maybe every two hours, rarely every three. At her two month appointment the nurse seemed shocked that she hasn't moved up to eating every 3-4 hours. I can't complain too much because she has (mostly) been sleeping through the night so this frequent nursing must be helping. But, now I feel like I'm over feeding her because she eats to often. She has already doubled her birth weight and has 8-10 wet diapers a day 2-4 poopy diapers a day. Does anyone else's baby eat this often at this age? Thanks!
Re: Feeding Frequency Paranoia
If your baby is sleeping through the night, for the love of God don't change anything.
You can't overfeed a baby at the breast. Babies just stop eating when they're not hungry. You're doing fine - don't mess it up because of a silly nurse's comment.
