Roll Call... where is everyone?! And slight AW on my DH :)

  I'm just spending the day at home, cleaning, doing laundry, lesson plans and prepping for fall parent-teacher conferences.  What are you all doing today?  

  And now to the AW part... This is one of the last Saturdays that I will spend alone!  DH got a new job yesterday!  It's $2 more an hour than he was making and now instead of working 9am-7:30pm Monday-Saturday (minus Wednesday, his day off), he will be working 6:30am-2:30pm!!!  I am so excited and can't wait to spend more time with him!

I am just kind of bumming around the house this morning.  DH has to work... I did get up early and go for a short run (and holy crap was it cold!) but now I am just tooling around online and working on the motivation to clean my house.

Yay for your DH getting a new job! 

I am here, I'll be off and on though because I am working on making cake pops for a Halloween party tonight.  This is the first time I'm making them, so I hope they turn out well.  Right now I am waiting for them to chill, instead of keeping them as cake balls, I flattened them and used a witch and pumpkin cookie cutter.  Can't wait to add the chocolate covering and candy decorations and see how they turn out.

Awesome!  Congrats to your DH as well!  I'm sorry you're still feeling down.  Sounds like you've got a good plan for today so take care and try to enjoy yourself!

I guess I don't have much as far as plans today since it's currently snowing. If it stops later I might go out. But right now I'm watching my dog plow through the snow in the backyard. I can tell he's definitely having a good time and I love that he always puts a smile on my face even when I'm in a crappy mood.

I'm also thinking of possibly starting to put together my list of who I need to shop for for Christmas and ideas on what to buy them. I want to start early since I hate doing things last minute.

Thank you!  I'm not sure if you're the same way, on days I work I put off major cleaning until I have a full day off, but when that day comes I don't feel like doing it!  Hopefully we both get stuff done today

That sounds so cool!  I'm not much of a baker.  I love cooking though!

Thanks!  No snow... so weird.  And we live in super snowy Syracuse.  My BIL send a picture from Pittsburgh and their yard is covered in the white stuff.  Up here... nothing.  Not complaining at all.  I can wait another couple of weeks to shovel the driveway, thank you.  lol

We're starting to put up decorations for our Halloween party tonight. I will be heading out soon to get our new vehicle registered later today! It's the fist car that I've ever owned! So excited!!!

How exciting!  I have to get new tags for my car within 3 weeks and a new license this year- expensive!  Have fun at your party!

Lazy morning here drinking coffee, Bumping and watching my Texas Aggies play some football. Will be a gorgeous day in NorCal so we'll head out for a hike after the game and then we're going to visit friends tonight.

I'm not sure I'm up for tonight, but this is one of DH's old Marine pilot buddies and he has to go back to Iraq next week for a short deployment. It's import to DH to go see him. So...I'll suck it up and fake my way though.

Woot for DH!

I am lurking for the most part because I am at work from 12:30-10:30.   I really need something to keep me awake.  DH and I were woke up early this morning because my 15 yr old brother, while out with his gf NOT where he was suppose to be, blew up his car.  DH had to help my dad with hooking up a towrope to my brother's car and tow it home.  So I had an eventful morning.

I'm fairly new here, but I'm here for a bit. Congrats to your DH, especially in this job market a raise of any kind is great!I'll be spending the day indoors. Were expecting up to a foot of snow, and we already have about three, ugh.But were trying to make the best of it with scary movies, peppermint mocha coffee, and pjs.

I teach first grade and I love it. I may end up teaching kindergarten next year due to low student enrollment though, I am sure it will be an adjustment!  I always say kindergarten teachers are Saints!

I'm here too! Working on an university assignment that is due on Monday. Going to start cleaning the house, and waiting for DH to come home and go out for supper with his dad and all their workers for finishing harvest!!! Yay for being done, my hubby will be able to be home more than 3 hours a night. And hope his foot will get better!
