XP from BOTB - need help re: transporting freezer stash

Hi ladies. We are heading up to my parents' house due to the impending snow storm. They have a generator and we don't. I need to bring my freezer stash with us out of fear of losing it in the power outage. Ideally, I would think transporting it on dry ice would be the best bet. Unfortunately, we don't have anywhere that sells it nearby. If I were to pack all of the frozen milk close together in a cooler and surround it with ice packs and bags of frozen veg, do you think it would be okay for an hour and a half trip? I would put it in the trunk of the car, far from the heat, too. Any other ideas are welcome :)  Thanks!

  • According to La Leche League the even if the milk defrosts a bit it is still good as long as the center is still frozen.   Now I wouldn't take it out let it start to defrost and put it back 7 or 8 times but I think packed in ice for the car ride there and back it should be fine.
