My DS was born at 37 weeks 5 days gestation. He latched on fine and sucked fine, but I had problem with my supply and tried everything ( power pumping, skin-to-skin, oatmeal, fenugreek, etc) but always had to supplement so he actually got more formula thanbteastmilk. I stopped at 9 weeks because when I would pump at a feeding I got less than .5 oz combined from both. A LC told me it was bc my DS was considered near-term, not full term. Now with this DS I am being scheduled for a c section at 36 weeks bc of complete placenta previa. Has anyone been able to BF LO 2 just fine after having problems with BF their first? Do you have any suggestions? Do u feel it would be worth it if I rented a hospital grade pump for the first month to establish a good supply ( I have a medela PIS)? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

Re: Same problems with LO as previous ones?
I never had a supply issue with my first who was also born at 37 weeks. Ive never heard of a baby being born at 37 weeks causing the mom to have a supply issue, but I'm not an expert.
With my first he never latched though, my 2nd does. So every baby is different and I wouldn't be surprised if mild production is differnent too.
good luck
Sorry I don't have a better answer for you.
I had supply issues. In the beginning they told me to pump after every feeding to get a supply established. I also did all of the things you listed above. I got more milk plus which has fenugreek and other things that seemed to help a little bit. https://www.motherlove.com/product/530-More-Milk-Plus.html
I also used a PIS but I have heard that the hospital ones are better.
