I asked to talk to the manager and told her that I saw it and that those slings had been recalled. She told me that they check everything according to the government's recall website but that she would double check it. She called me back a little while later and said that it wasn't recalled because it was made in August of 2010 and that the recall only went until March of 2010. I told her several times that I was pretty sure that didn't matter because it was a bad style sling and they are not safe. I looked at the consumer product safety website and according to them the Infantino Sling Ride was only manufactured until March 2010 and all of them were recalled. I think I am going to call CPSC and report it. I just hope no one bought that sling.

You are correct. There are no "safe" versions of that death trap. They have all been recalled. Call them in.

You know what? Now that you mention it, I think I have seen some of those at the couple Once upon a Childs near my house. I might go check them out this weekend.

I saw one at my local Once Upon a Child, but it was gone by the time I figured out that it was definitely recalled.

I see them on kijiji (online classifieds) as well. I usually message the seller that they're recalled and hope they have a heart (or want new infantino stuff for free, the exchange is pretty easy).
