First PIO injection tonight

And I'm happy to say it wasn't bad at all! Now, I'm sure once the injection sites start getting sore that may change but for now I'm glad it wasn't nearly as bad as I anticipated.  DH did it, and he did a great job. I heated the injection site before, warmed the PIO in a cup of hot water, massaged after, did a few squats and heating pad.

Are they really that bad?  I am hoping to be taking PIO sometime this week.  We hope that my donor will be ready for retrieval as soon as Wednesday.  I've heard horror stories and my SIL had a lot of issues but I just thought it was because her husband seemed to be giving them in the same spot every night.  UGH! Now I nervous!

Honestly it didn't hurt at all. I did all of that stuff to help move the pio around to help prevent "knots". I was suuuper nervous about it but was relieved it wasn't that bad.  The needle is scary big, I think that's the worst part, but no pain.

I have to say, my first day on suppositories is not bad. I have not had much leaking out and no s/e that I can discern quite yet. I much prefer that to a shot in the bum.

At the same time, I don't get a choice on my progesterone form-- I am in a clinical trial, and I get what I get. Though, my clinic favors the sups for their patients.

I started PIO on Thursday night and I'm hating them.  I was in tears last night trying to inject myself.  I am so sore..  I tried heating the area, and I also use emla cream to numb it but it don't help. Maybe I'm just a big old baby.. And the emotional roller coaster has also started since I've been on them.  Oh my harmones!!!  I am a complete mess..
