Hi there, My LO is doing good. He had his appointment with the pediatrician today and is gaining weight as he should. I am still working on bfing. He pretty much eats all day, so I am very sore. I am still getting used to all his needs. I feel bad when he cries and get very happy if I figure out the reason. I am looking forward to less crying and more interaction in the near future! I think he is trying to focus at my face, but not there yet.  I cannot believe our LOs are going to be 1 month old soon.  Time is starting to fly now!

How is your LO? Any plans for Halloween weekend?

Hey there VSGTO!  Sorry for the delayed response, but this is literally the second time I have opened my lap top since LO was born.  I lurk frequently from my phone during our late night adventures, but wanted to reply when I was actually more awake and could  form entire sentences and insert paragraphs.  :)  I've also been hesitant to post an intro and dive into PAL at this point as I am in a super needy place, and not probably the best support giver at the moment, which is not really fair, right?

And before I devolve into my self-centered update, how are YOU doing??  And LO??  DO tell.

We are hanging in there.  I am exhausted and still recovering from my csection, which really was akin to being hit by a truck, and our little G Man is still figuring out his days and nights (translation - Mommy does not sleep).  To add to the fun, breastfeeding has been anything but a "natural beautiful" experience for us, too, which has made things all the more challenging.  It is funny that a 7 pound infant can reduce a 40 year old, driven, workaholic professional to a pile of tears with seemingly little effort on his part.  DH went back to work this past week, so it was a whole new challenge to wrangle LO on my own for 13 hours or so each day, and by the end of the week I was sort of a wreck.  :S

To sum up, we are taking it one day at a time, like all good members of Parenthood Anonymous, and hoping he learns to latch better lest my nips fall off, and praying for sleep in one hour chunks (that would be an improvement) as well as G's continued growth and weight gain.

Hope all is well for you!  Please let me know how you are doing as well (and thanks for posting this, as now I can see how D&D is doing as well!).

    S.

DD is currently going through a growth spurt, so it has been a rough couple of days. She eats all.the.time and hasn't been sleeping as well. Not to mention that she is fussy when she isn't sleeping or eating. It seems to be on the upswing now.

My tiredness was getting better, but after this weekend, I am hitting another wall. My nipples are so sore from the extra feedings and I'm feeling inadequate since she still seems hungry after I feed her. We are supplementing with formula.

Recovery is getting better, although still bleeding. I am afraid to look down at the lady bits since any sort of grooming has been non-existent. I am 5lbs above my pre-preg weight, but the flab and saggy-ness is still keeping me in my maternity jeans.

I know they keep saying it gets easier (and it has), but it has still been rough. I'm waiting for it to actually get EASY-ier. I'm also waiting for the day that I stop breaking down due to frustration, tiredness, or hormones. Someday...
