So ladies, how are we getting through Halloween trick or treaters?

I have a very loud dog who hates little boys (he was abused by an 8yo boy). He barks and growls. I'm assuming no kid will come to the door with him going ape sh!t, so we're in the clear.

We live in the middle of nowhere and there are no children around. We are the youngest people in our neighbourhood of.... four families.

I will be out of the house until 10 at a regular bible meeting ( iam all for halloween but this was on the calendar all year) so i'm good. i have seen millions of kids already celebrating this week and it really breaks my heart in two! at my age I should have a kid to take out. ugh.

We're turning off the light and we'll be watching TV.  We're fortunate to live in a house where all of our first floor windows are in the backyard (behind a fence) so no one will be able to peek in.

Our neighborhood is NUTS at halloween.  Everyone sits out in their driveway w/ candy b/c otherwise you'd be standing at your open door the whole time.  It's a freaking zoo.  We'll probably be out there handing out candy to all the cute little ones in the neighborhood.  Hopefully it will make me hopeful and not break my heart...

I acually am kinda sad because I will be working.  We have been in our house 2 years and I actually dont know how it gets because the last 2 years Halloween has been over the weekend and I got to take my nephew Trick or Treating in my parents neighborhood.  This year I wont be around to do it, but I am dodging trick or treaters

I'm working till 5 and then will probably hand out candy with my dog. I will dress her up in her hllwn sweater and hoping most of the trick or treaters will be earlier when I'm working.

We never get trick or treaters, we don't live in a great neighborhood.  I don't answer the door unless DH is home, or I know someone is coming over.  Drinking though, that would be my answer, hands down.

Dh and I handed out candy while having a couple of drinks, made it much easier.  We both love Halloween and decorate the house and everything, so I can't not celebrate it.
