P4 levels ..

Hi ladies. So I had my first OB appt yesterday at 5w1d and we had an u/s in which we saw a gestational sac and a yolk sac (yay!) and we also had some blood work done.  My HCG levels are increasing nicely, but I noticed that my P4 levels have dropped. At my first beta it was at 20.5 and now it came in at 17.8. My OB had said yesterday (before blood work came back) that he likes P4 to be at least over 15, but isn't it concerning that it has dropped? Is this typical in early pregnancy?  Yesterday my OB said if it made me more comfortable to use progesterone supplements that was fine and I am probably going to start today.. but wanted to hear from others on if they have experienced decreasing levels like this.

DH - some MFI;

1 month clomid plus timing - BFN;
3 months clomid + IUI - BFN BFN BFN

IVF #1 Nov/Dec 2009 - BFP - c/p;
IVF #2.1 Jan 2011 - Converted to IUI - BFN;
IVF #2.2 March/April 2011 - ER 3/23/11: 12 retrieved, 8 mature, 3 fert-ET 3dt 3/26/11: 3 embies - BFN;
IVF #3 May 2011 - ER 5/19/11: 20 retrieved, 10 mature, 9 fert-ET 5dt 5/24/11 3 embies - BFN;
Switched RE's for IVF #4 (CCRM) Oct 2011 - Surprise BFP before starting IVF #4!

    Mine fluctuated around that range in early pg, even on progesterone supps. I switched to crinone and then added in PIO just to be safe.

    they fluctuate in the early pg...it didnt drop that much.  between beta 1 and 2 with my son it went from 19 to 14.  i freaked out of course.  they put me on supplements but then beta 3 it was back to19.5. i took the crinone until week 10 but i dont know if i really needed it.

    Mine fluctuated a lot in early pg, and I was on supplements.
