  • Karma is a Sanskrit name, I love it, but it wouldn't go over too well in the U.S.
  • LOL, I agree if you are using a name for religious, cultural or family reasons - great.  But if you are just trying a "unique" name or trendy spelling, try to think about your poor child explaining the pronunciation or spelling of his name throughout all his school years.  =)

  • Agreed.  I think that trendy spellings of ethnic names go over as well as tattoos in a foreign language that are incorrectly spelled or in bad grammar.
  • Keyara.

    I like this name and its horribly misspelled. Its supposed to be Kiara, which has roots in several cultures and thus has multiple pronunciations, but the Key-AR-uh pronunciation has become increasingly popular after Disney choose the name for Simba's daughter in The Lion King 2.
