I just had to share since I have been falling short on my pumping output for months now and making up the difference with my freezer stash. Finally my freezer stash is gone so I broke out the formula last weekend and hoped for the best. I was really worried that by over 7 months old DS was going to be more stubborn and resistant to change. Apparently not. He didn't even seem to notice that the bottle I gave him tasted any different, he was only angry when it ran out after only 2 ozs since I had made a small batch since I just wanted to see his reaction to it but still latch him on. I've been sending roughly a bottle a day of formula to daycare to suppliment the pumped milk bottles and he hasn't had any problem with drinking it straight with no mixing and switching back and forth. I just wanted to share my sucess if anyone else is in the same boat and nervous about the transition period. I knew eventually he'd drink it but I thought it might take an adjustment period. I should not have beat myself up about not pumping enough for months!
Re: Supplimenting Success
wish it was going this smoothly for us. DD refuses formula unless it's mixed at least 1/2 and 1/2. I have zero freezer stash left and I'm starting to panic.
Glad it worked out well for you - what brand formula are you using?
