I am a FTM and have been through a rough go with this pregnancy. I have had so many "scares" with this pregnancy and spent so much time educating myself on Pre-eclampsia, NSTs, pitting edema, and all the other issues I have had that I must be honest and admit that I have not read a darn thing about what to expect in the last weeks of pregnancy (and I missed my birthing class due to some scheduling issues), so I am clueless if what I am feeling is normal and if it means anything at all so I am hoping some fellow bumpies can help. :-)
I was checked in L&D on Tuesday morning and was a loose 1, tight 2cm and 40% effaced (which I know doesn't mean a darn thing really as women can walk around that way for weeks!) but since leaving the hospital and coming home I have an insane pressure feeling low in my pelvis and my hips feel like they are being pushed apart (it is very uncomfortable to try and close my legs). I have the menstral cramp feeling but different than my normal menstral cramps in that they kind of pulse (hope that makes sense).
I have another NST today but won't actually see my doctor again until Tuesday and am wondering if this is something I should make sure the nurses bring to my doctor's attention today during my NST or if this is all normal late pregnancy, body preparing for the big exit stuff.
Thanks in advance!
