So... I made the switch

From temping orally to vaginally.... because I sort of look like this when I sleep...

 

 

 

 

 

Cute, right?  I know...

Anyway... It's only been about a week-ish, but so far... not a fan.  

1.  My chart looks stupid already.  (I know, pretty charts mean nothing, but still... it annoys me).  I realize that my temps should be, on average, slightly higher vaginally than orally... but my temp as just been steadily climbing since I started this cycle.  WTF is that?

2.  I never, in a million years, thought I would have trouble finding my hoo-ha... however... at 6am when I am exhausted and don't really want to move the sheets at all because it is freezing... I find myself digging and poking around down there with the stupid thermometer.  It's not really that complicated... I know... but for some reason it is much easier to find your mouth when you're tired.  Who knew?

3.  I am still really paranoid that I am going to, in a sleepy haze, forget about my switch and stick it in my mouth.

Your last one made me giggle. Give it a try for this cycle and if you don't like it you can switch back but  with a new thermometer!

2) I think it is practice, much like the fumbling that happens when you do the deed for the first time and you think "How hard can it be?" then...yep...lol 

3) Also, I would be super paranoid about that too... but uhm... hmmm... yeah, I am not sure how to go about preventing it... Hey, at least it is not a rectal thermometer you might accidently put in your mouth... It could be worse Just saying!

Agreed. I mean we found out today that some girls taste their CM, so if you do put the thermometer in your mouth make sure to notice whether it's salty or not!

Agreed. I mean we found out today that some girls taste their CM, so if you do put the thermometer in your mouth make sure to notice whether it's salty or not!

::smacks lips::   mmmmkay  although IIIIIIIIIIII heard that you can save your CM and put it in a milkshake to make you extra fertile... but perhaps that's only the sweeter, creamy CM.

I think carefully inspecting and possibly stretching my own bodily fluid is already crossing my previously established "ick" line.  Tasting it... now that's going too far.
