If this is a girl, Mae (my grandma's mn) will likely be her middle name. Slow me...I just put that together with the fact that this child will (very likely) be born in May, since my due date is the middle of May. It's only a middle name, but still. Do you think anyone will make the connection, and/or is this cheesy?

Re: Mae, born in May
It's just a middle name - I wouldn't worry about it at all. When she is born and people are just hearing her name, there will probably be some comments like, "Oh! Sarah Mae and she was born in May!" (just making up a first name here). But so what? I don't think it's a big deal.
By the way, I love the name Mae, especially as a middle. Go for it!
Cautiously expecting our second little petri dish baby - stick, Baby, stick!
Mae is such a beautiful and sweet name that I don't think anyone will care and no I don't think it's cheezy at all I actually find it very endearing
Because it is a mn I don't think that you have to worry. Plus you are spelling it Mae instead of May.
I think it is a very pretty name too!
No, simply say that Mae is a family name and the conversation will turn.
If your baby was due in April and were going with April...I think it would be harder to get away with it but Mae is spelled differently than the month.
Missing our little turkey.
