Another Dr. appointment..I guess it could have gone worse

So today was my 2 week follow up appointment for my ectopic pregnancy. Of course as the doctor was coming to see me, he got called to an emergency delivery and had to leave. So his PA came in and after getting my results from my blood draw yesterday, called my doctor on his cell phone. My beta went from 1934 last Wednesday to 1114 yesterday (they expected it to be around 200). My doctor was not happy with this and wanted me to get another dose of metho (I commence my waterworks), but wants the high risk doctor to make the final determination on if it's necessary. Thankfully, she said it was not necessary and to continue the weekly beta's until down to zero and have an ultrasound in a month to confirm nothing left behind. So thankfully, it looks like I won't be needing surgery, but unfortunately my level is not dropping as quickly as I had hoped and I will most likely have to reschedule my fertility doctor appointment that I have scheduled on 11/14.

I'm so sorry! I was thinking about you and that appt. It sucks that you will have to reschedule that fertility doctor! I hope things move more quickly for you and those betas go down fast!! T&Ps for you that it goes quick!! At least no surgery, cause I would call myself an expert on surgery (having had 11 procedures) and to me the healing process is the worst!! ((hugs))

*huge hugs*Im so sorry the number isn't declining as rapidly as you would like. I'm praying it speeds up. Is there a reason you would have to cancel your appointment? At the first visit they usually just take a history and design a tentative plan. I would think you could go to it even if you're not at zero, although I hope you will be.

They said that they want my number at 0 before seeing me because they will take blood at the first visit. I am going to hold off on rescheduling until I get the results from next weeks draw and then if it doesn't look good, I will call and ask if they still want to see me or if I should reschedule. I don't want to waste their, or my time.
