HCG level at 5 weeks

Thank goodness this site exists. I can get feedback while trying to keep my peace of mind...seriously!

I went to my first OB visit yesterday. I am 5 weeks and 2 days according to my LMP. I'm freaking out because my HCG level came back at 30766. At 5 weeks, is this normal? I'm really freaking out. Has anyone else had high HCG levels this early in their pregnancy?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

    seems a lil high.. most in the 4 week mark is under 1000. You may be farther along then you think.

    This level is on the higher end at 5 weeks.  But...the range of normal is huge anywhere from 50 mIU/ml to 8000 mIU/ml, this level can vary ALOT and it really depends when you actually conceived.  If you ovulated early this could make sense.  Your bHCG level doubles (or close to doubles) every other day.  If you think about this my level at 5 weeks was close to 4000 mIU/ml.  In one week it could be 32,000 mIU/ml.   I do not know of any hard clinical data that shows multiples have higher bHCG levels than singleton pregnancies.  So embrace the BFP and CONGRATS!!!

    I know...but that's how far along I am. I know pretty much the day I conceived. My LMP was 9/20/11.

    I know that the range is big, but I still thought it was high for 5 weeks. I did read that sometimes HCG levels are higher when there is more than one baby. But this high? I don't know...I'm scared!

    The only reason you should really be scared is if its low or drops. At 4 weeks my beta was a 65, 5 weeks-535, and at 6- 6935.

    mine at 5 w2d was 25000 ...and the ob said ...it looked great

    At just about 5 wks my Beta was 5854, at just shy of 6wks it was about 39,500.. I don't think your numbers seem drastically high - its also possibly you are a little bit farther along than you think. Try not to worry!

    Mine were 37,500 at 5 weeks 2 days and my OB said everything looked "great%.
