Finally some good news. We had lost our digital camera about a year ago. I blamed DH, because he's always losing things. Our ILs gave us a new one as a gift. Well, I had DH wash my fall coat a few days ago, and neither of us thought to check the pockets. Turns out the old camera was in the coat - and ended up going through the wash cycle. So I had to apologize to DH for repeatedly treating him like a child with the new camera. He let it dry out for two days, and told me this morning that it is absolutely unscathed. The old pics and videos of DS are on there, and the camera is in perfect shape. I really thought it would be toast after that...

Letting things dry out is key. Last year I spilled a entire poland springs bottle of water on my laptop keyboard. I thought for sure it was gone. We had only had it 3 weeks. I unplugged it and turned it upside down and let the water run out of it and just let it sit for 3 days. I crossed my fingers and turned it on and it worked just fine. It still works fine today. Now I"m sure if it had been soda or something sticky it may not have worked out so well. Glad your camera is ok!

Wow I can't believe it still works. I didn't that to DH's work camera and it was toast. I guess he will think twice before leaving it in his pants again.

That is awesome! I'm glad that you were able to keep all the pics and stuff. I always blame DH for stuff like that too and most times it comes back to me being the real culprit!
