TTC After a Loss

I am kicking myself. I feel like an idiot, but I wasn't testing the same time everyday. If I actually thought about it, I would realize that testing at the same time everyday would mean consistent data. Well, its done, and there is nothing I can do about it now except set a time to be consistent! Anyways, I am trying to figure out what time would be the easiest to temp. I can't decide if I should set an alarm in the middle of the night to take my temp, or if I should just temp when I get up in the morning (at the same time everyday of course). What time to you temp and do you find it easy?

  • I do between 8 and 8:05 everyday.  If I'm not ready to get up on the weekends, I just lay back down.  It's easy.  I keep the thermometer next to my bed, and just pop it in when my alarm goes off.

  • The best time for me to temp is 6am since I typically wake up anytime between 6am - 6:30am for work. I set an alarm to make sure I am up every morning at that time. It sucks to have to wake up at 6am on the weekend but it's not too bad. The thermometer is right on the nightstand next to my bed, so I just grab it at 6am, take my temp, record it on my phone, and at 6:05am I go back to sleep.

  • When I was charting I had to get up for work at 6 so I would set the alarm and then take my temp before I got out of bed in the morning.  On the weekends I always sleep in a few extra hours so I would just leave my alarm on, take my temp. and then go back to sleep.  After a while it just becomes a habit!  GL on temping

  • I usually get up at 6:30 for work, so I just set my alarm for that time on the weekends as well, and then just go back to sleep.  good luck!

  • I temp at 6:30 every morning because I wake up when DH's alarm goes off then.  I go back to sleep and get up a half an hour later when my alarm goes off. 

    ETA:  And I just go back to sleep after I temp on the weekends.

  • I set two alarms on my phone before I go to sleep 1) 5:30 to temp and 2) whatever time I have to really wake up. I keep the thermometer next to my pillow and cell phone so I dont have to sit up. I take it and then text the number to myself to record later in FF. I find that 5:30 is a good time, if its any later I am too "awake" and cant go back to sleep. So far I have no trouble falling back asleep at 5:30 even if its for 30 minutes! :) Hope that helps!
