Teething Question (coming over from 3-6)

My son's first tooth is on its way through, and he is a cranky mess from the pain.  I can feel the tooth and see it a little bit, but do not think that it has broken through completely yet.

My question - will he feel some pain relief after that bad boy finally pops through?  I know that another one will soon follow, but I want there to be somewhat of a light at the end of the tunnel for him.

Yes, I believe the pain if from cutting through the gum. He should feel relief after it pops through.

Yes, he will feel much better once it comes through.  Some teeth are worse than others.  I had no idea DD was getting her first 2 teeth until they came through.  Right now she is working on her first top tooth and it is brutal.  Hopefully it will pop through soon.  I have heard the more they chew, the quicker the tooth will come through so, give him plenty of teething rings, etc.  Good luck!

Same here!

My ds got his first tooth at 4m (bottom) 2nd tooth at 5m (bottom), Then at 6m 2 more bottom teeth and 3 top teeth were coming though. Fot my ds the top teeth are taking a bit longer & seem a bit more painful. Maybe it's just cause there are more coming though at one time. I do give ds some pain meds to help also some oragel before feedings helped too.
