How to word baptism thank you note?

DS's baptism was over the weekend, and everyone gave him money. We put it in an account that we opened for him. I just don't know how to word the thank you notes. Help! Thanks! ?

I usually thank them for attending the special day and say "thank you for the generous gift".

Thank you so much for your generous gift.  We are using it to start LOs college fund (or whatever though probably not "we are using it so Mommy and Daddy can have a night out on the town")  We were so glad that you were able to share LO's special day with us.
