Weaning-Help!

My daughter turns 1 next week and I plan on starting to wean her.  Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

    I plan on waiting until DD weans herself so please take my suggestions with a grain of salt. 

    Will she drink from a bottle?  That is the easiest way to wean.  Start mixing BM with WCM (or other milk alternative of your choice) and slowly change the ratio of BM to WCM until all she gets is WCM.  

    For BFing I would slowly decrease the length of time she spends on the breast and offer her a cup or bottle of the WCM / BM mix instead.  Or I would offer the bottle / cup first and let her decide if she wants to nurse after she has had a full bottle / cup of milk.
