We're having twin girls and have started narrowing down the first names. Our first choices were Elle, Elise, Lola and Leila. Looks like they've all been nixed except Elise. Now Elise is DH favorite and I'm back to my favorite girl name from when I was pregnant with DS, Avery. How does Elise and Avery sound for twin girls? I don't want anything thats super matchy matchy, and we're not huge fans of the classics.
And picking the MN's is a whole other issue, can't think of much. The only MN I am considering at this point is Harper.
Thoughts and/or ideas on all of the above?
Re: Four girl names, this is exhausting
Good point!
They sound great together. Finding names for twins is hard!!
I think Elise Harper sounds best, but you could use it for either.
You could do two H middle names if you wanted.
Congratulations on having twin girls! How exciting!
I like Avery and Elise. I think Elise is more of a classic name whereas Avery is a name I've only heard in the past 5 or 6 years (not sure if that matters to you).
Other names you might like are Brynn, Ainsley, Aveline, Lauren, Audrey, Lucy, Elena, Anna, and Lily.
Elise Harper
Avery Holly
I think they are both lovely. My niece is Avery Louise and we call her Avery Lo. If you are having a hard time with MN have you considered a family name?
Some other classic names I like are
Camille
Charlotte
Eleanor
Victoria
Celia
Amelia
Hazel
Evelyn
Avery Lo is so cute! I have thought of using Lou (nickname for Louis) after my favorite Grandpa. I just wonder if Avery Lou would be too masculine. But I look at middle names as a free-for-all in a way.

Definitely this.
Perhaps Avery Catherine, Avery Meredith, Avery Leila, Avery Noelle.
I don't like Avery. Sorry, I think it is just that I am a teacher and have heard it a LOT in the last few years.
I like the idea of giving the girls a middle name of the same letter. That way they match, without it being overkill.
What about Eva? I think any E or A name would match.
