Daycre in Apple Valley/Eagan Area

Hi all!

I don't post here usually so I hope it's ok if I start now

I'm 27 weeks pregnant with my first. It's a girl! I had a daycare lined up (a friend) but she decided to go back to school and will be quitting the daycare biz. I'm heartbroken but have to move on and look for something else.

I work in downtown MPLS so I'm actually almost wondering if I should look for something there especially since my husband and I also carpool to work and are tight with the time.

In any case, any daycares you would recommend? I'm open to centers or in home although I thing in home is our best bet b/c we have a tight budget. My friend would have charged $180/week so I'm looking for something for that or of course less if possible.

I would very much appreciate any info you may have.

My son has attended several KinderCares in Apple Valley and Eagan, and have had some good experiences.  The best was at KinderCare in Eagan off of Galaxie/Cliff, however it is more expensive than what you are looking at.  I can't remember exactly the price and we only used part-time, but I think it is 250-300 for full time unless you get a corporate discount.  If you are able to swing the price, then they are a GREAT center.

I am starting to think about this as well.  I am 13 weeks tomorrow and live in Eagan, work downtown.  I was hoping to find daycare downtown as well, would be nice to know I could go see baby at lunch or something?  Let me know if you find anything!
