Christmas Idea for you

So I know lots of people think giving gifts for LO at this age at xmas is silly- I was talking with my mom and she said this is what they did when we were too little to understand what was going on:

my mom and dad would buy us one gift without telling the other person what it was (for when we were babies) and that way it was still a surprise to your spouse, since obviously we were too young to care. Just wanted to give you all that idea!

I like that!  People who think it's silly to buy for LO are a little off to me.  I guess that's what happens when you grow up in a family that even buys presents for all the pets (and we had a lot).  I just like buying stuff too!

We still do this.  DD gets presents from Santa and then one from mom and one from dad.  We don't tell each other what we are getting her.  It is always something that is special to her in relationship to us.  It is fun and adds an element of suprise to the morning!!
