Need help with Evangeline

DH and I have recently fell in love with the name Evangeline. The only problem with this is, the only nn we both like is Eva. Our goddaughters/nieces name is Ava. Is it too close? Wdyt?

    No, I don't think it's too close. I also like the nn Lena.

    To be honest, I wouldn't worry about a NN just yet.

    Your daughter might be more of an Evy or an Angie or a Lynn, anyway.

    My friend went through a phase were she loved this name and was going to call her Evan ( she is into the boy names for girls)  Plus my last name is Evans so I think it was somewhat of a tribute or something. Just an idea - but I agree don't worry about NN's cause she named her DD Kyrington (K-eer-ing-ton) and was going to call her Kyra, never did just Kyrington. :D
