TTC After a Loss

Charting Question (newbie here)

so it has been a week and a half since my MC and I was wondering if I should start charting now or wait till AF shows up and start after that?

I have never charted before, but I like the idea of knowing what is going on with my body.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Charting Question (newbie here)

  • I see no harm in starting now, to get in the hang of it. You may not end up with much usable data, but the sooner you get in the habit of it, the easier it will be to pick up.

I completely agree with Grace. Starting now will help you get in the habit. When I first started it was in the middle of a cycle but it was still helpful.

    This.

Also....(at the risk of sounding like I have stock in this book company because I recommend it every 5 minutes) If you are new to charting and haven't already grabbed a copy I would recommend getting a copy of "Taking charge of your fertility" by Toni Weschler.  Was a huge help to me. Good luck girl!

  • I'm going to be a voice of dissension here.  Your first cyle after m/c is usually pretty jacked up.  If you've never charted before, starting on a cycle you *know will likely be weird is just going to frustrate and confuse you.  If you are worried you won't remember to temp, start on CD1 of your next AF.  The first few days of temps aren't critical at all.
