you are looking forward to with your LO.
I can't wait till Christmas. I am giddy about it. I can't wait to see her open all her gifts and play in the paper and be in awe of the tree and lights...and see santa...and make Christmas a fun holiday for my family again. (my sister passed 5 years ago at the age of 10 and since then Xmas hasn't really been too fun)
Re: What is the next big thing...
Christmas is a big one, but I'm also looking forward to snow. He already loves being outside and we played in the leaves. He thought that was cool. Snow will be really interesting for him.
I'm also looking forward to trying more new foods with him. He pretty much eats anything and tries to eat our food off our plates as well. His reactions are pretty hilarious. We tried the strawberry yogurt melts and he HATES them. He made this totally disgusted face and tried to spit it out.Being the big meany I am, I made him try it a few more times to make sure he really didn't like it. We did find out that our cat likes them though. At least we know what he likes and doesn't like.
Oh, everything! I can't wait to see him in his halloween costume- and watch him see other kids in theirs. I am pretty excited that he will be able to eat (modified) Thanksgiving dinner with the family. That is hubby's birthday too, and i'm excited about the gift we're giving him (football photoshoot of P)
I also can't wait till Christmas! The lights, the decorations, the new traditions (he's our 1st and the first grandchild on one side, second on the other) and of course, the presents- well, the wrapping paper.
And call me crazy, but I am looking forward to him crawling. He tries really hard, but isn't mobile yet, unless rolling counts- the kid will barrell roll across the entire room to get a toy! I don't look forward to the babyproofing, the cleaning (we have dogs that shed like crazy) and the constant chasing him, but crawling babies are just too cute! And mannn he wants to crawl so bad!
Also: real baths (we're still in the kitchen sink- gotta move to the bath soon!) snow and all that comes along with it- snowmen, snowsuits, etc. Running (we just got our jogging stroller- so excited!!) Talking, walking, his birthday... ok now i'm getting ahead of myself and making him grow up too fast. That's it, just everything!
I'm so sorry to hear about your sister and I'm glad your LO will bring back some joy to the holiday. That said, I'm also a huge Christmas person - so pretty much everything you wrote, I'm looking forward to. Can't wait!
