What Do You Do About Stains When...

Just curious, what do you do about stains when there's no sun out? There's been alot of days lately where it's been cloudy/overcast or rainy and I can't put my diapers out to dry in the sun. If I have stains that have already dried, I should be able to "sun" them out the next time after I wash them, right? What about in the winter when there's not as much sun?

  • Wait until summer haha, I'm the only one seeing the inside of his diapers, so stains aren't a huge deal.

You can always use liners to prevent stains, or you can still put them outside/in the window during winter; sun still works in cold weather =) If it's too overcast, you can definitely sun out old stains when the sun comes back out.

  • I have oxygen bleach from Pacific Sands. I just throw a little in on the hot wash and it helps with the staining. I do want to get a clothes line up soon though, so I can put LOs diapers in the sun whenever possible.

This.  I don't sun my diapers regularly - stains don't bother me at all.

  • The dipes are whitened by UV light, which is available whenever it's daytime.  As long as your windows don't have a UV coating, you can sun them in the window on any day! It works, I promise :)
  • I've put mine out when it was overcast, very little sun was coming through, and the stain was gone in an hour. Its worth a try as long as its not raining (obviously)!
