Probably time to call the doctor tomorrow....

Thursday night, I had some spotting and cramping. It freaked me out a lot at first, but I calmed down and did my research and came across info that it was probably more implantation bleeding. It went away that night, but came back Saturday, this time a bit darker and lasting a big longer, but went away that night. Last night, I started spotting again, a bit red and today, have had off and on brown spotting. I've tried to stay calm and understand that spotting happens. I haven't had any intense pain and the bleeding hasn't been bright red or very heavy, so I've just gone with the flow. However, the fact that it keeps happening is making me incredibly nervous. So at this point, is it probably best to go ahead and involve a doctor? Or just stay calm and understand that this happens?

  • It doesn't hurt to call the doctor - he/she will either ease your mind by telling you it is normal or have you come in to get checked out. Either way, you'll probably feel better by calling.  I've been spotting every other night for the past week. Always brown, sometimes heavier than other times, and it is definitely scary. Had an u/s yesterday and all was fine - strong h/b and baby is growing on track.

  • I would definitely call your doctor.  It sounds like normal spotting, so I don't think you should be alarmed, but I think your doctor would want to be informed.  A similar thing happened to me this past Sunday, only I had a significant amount of red bleeding.  The doctor got me in for an ultrasound and all was well.  I think even though we know this happens and can often be part of a normal pregnancy - it's nice to have that reassurance from your doctor.

  • It sounds like you're okay and it's nothing serious, but it never hurts to get checked out. I would let your doctor know.
