Wow. That is pretty insane. To be fair, tho, Darth Vader is a total badass and one of my favorite villains of all time. Anakin isn't that bad of a name. But Anakin Skye? Hmm

WOW. This is why we are not putting a wager on the sex. (I think boy, DH thinks girl and wants to "bet" the middle name on it). If I agreed to that, our kids middle name would be Megatron.

We joke that this child's name is going to be Starship Trooper no matter what. That's what I'm telling my friends/family too (as seriously as possible but I don't know how I'm going to keep a straight face! We're not telling the name until birth).

I have a friend whose first son's middle name is James. She is pregnant again and is trying to convince her husband, if it's a girl, to have the middle name be Lilly, so she could say her children's middle names are the same as Harry Potter's parent's names. She really loves the books.

My husband is a huge star wars buff and I love it myself, and we've even mentioned the name Anakin, but would never do it strictly because everyone would immediately think of this little kid that turned into a whacked out teenager, then turned into a badass (in a good badass sorta way).

I, too, want to know if their last name is Walker....that would seal the deal...they must be star wars crazies. and it would be interesting to know what their other childrens' names are (if they have any) or what their choice of name was if it was a girl....man, if they had boy/girl twins, they'd probably name them Luke and Leia.

One of my good friends named her son Anakin several years ago (different middle name though). I get the Star Wars storyline, but I just don't see what the big deal is. Maybe I've just had enough time to get used to it, but I rather like the name for him.

I am cool with using a name in starwars (since I am) I mean everyone basically hears their name somewhere but one like anakin is a lil too known and iconic, as well as using the whole name wtf that is down right stupid. PLus anakin is a lil bit$h I would never name my child after him ;-)

Lol we still tell our families that the LO will be named Op Thomas if it's a boy and Megan Tron if it's a girl. I am convinced now after how bad my husband thought the 3rd movie was that I don't have to worry DH really means it.

I wont even mention i read this to my boyfriend or i will hear about for the next 20 weeks... he went on for about 2 weeks (jokingly...i hope :{ ) saying he really thought vadar was a good middle name.
