LO eating less

I am starting to get a little concerned. I am an EPer. After dealing with food allergy stuff, and getting frustrated with elimination diets, I tried Nutramigen briefy. It doesnt do well with my LO. I didnt give it a full week, but why would I when she starts to poop mucous again. So, back on to full pumped BM.

Hes the deal. She used to take a solid 3.5, sometime 4 ounces of BM. Then, she started to only take 3 ounces. No big deal. With the formula added, she would still take 3 ounces, occasionally more. Now, back on BM- I can't get her to finish 3 ounces. She often only wants 2.5 ounces. I have to offer her the rest 30-45 mins later. She may/ may not take it.

I know breastmilk 'changes', but would it change so much that she takes less volume?

Shes already a small baby. At her 2 month appointment- 10th percentile for length. 25th for weight. I think shes too lean. I also think shes not gaining much, and certainly not what they say is 'normal'. I think I am going to make an appointment to check her weight.

Re: LO eating less

  • I gave my daughter baby massages every night, and it work really well. I used coconut oil, or olive oil (both extra virgin) It sounds strange but it really helped her start gaining more.

Although I wasn't exclusively pumping at the time, she was however slow to gain and I went to the pediatrician every week it wasn't fun.
